Welcome!

Out of a common interest, a bunch of us have found joy in photographing and creating stories using our “little’uns” (fashion dolls, barbies, bjds, action men, cuddly toys and anything else that comes to hand). It’s a run-wot-you-brung mentality to storytelling!

QUOTE OF THE DAY....

QUOTE OF THE DAY...
"Some musicians make a whole bundle of money and put it up their nose. I put mine in your ears."
Frank Zappa

Oma's sister.

Holly, Consuela and Oma live on a shelf at The Manor. It's a comfortable existence and on this day they were enjoying plenty of girlie-talk.

Oma settled her head in the lap of Consuela, she felt a nap coming on and decided to drift with it.

Suddenly a noise at the window startled Oma from her reverie.

They got up to see what the kerfuffle was at the window.

"Oh no, what is it?" asked Holly in a timid voice.

"I'm sure it's nothing to worry about." replied Consuela in a consoling voice.

Something was coming in through the window, something very hairy. What it was exactly no-one could tell.

It landed on the window sill with a tiny thud and stayed there as if waiting.

"I'll find out what it is, I'm not scared!" said a defiant Oma as she climbed down the curtain.

"Come and look, I don't think it's harmful." shouted Oma to the others as she stared at the hairy mass on the sill thinking "I'm sure I recognize that hair!"

Holly made her way down to the window sill and looked at the hairy thing. She was sure she could make out a foot...maybe also a hand.

Suddenly the hairy thing came to life and after a brief panic the ladies could see what, or rather who, it was.

"WHENTEN!" cried Oma, "My oh my, I haven't seen you in years. There is something distinctly different about you, have you grown your hair long or are they extensions?" she asked in amusement.

Princess Consuela looked down from the shelf at the greetings, she hadn't seen Whenten for many years and hardly recognized her.

The amazonian 'crazy lady', as she was known in far off lands, regaled them with stories of her adventures.

"And so, I fought the biggest of the tribe with my bare hands and won."

We had our own way of praying for food and water...

Meanwhile, upstairs on the top shelf Dale and Head were discussing the noise emanating from below.

"It's just not on, I tell you!" proclaimed Dale.

"I'm sure there is a reasonable explanation." Head responded.

Chip was trying to have a conversation with Bobo the clown but wasn't getting very far. He was frustratingly singing 'Agadoo' over and over again.

"And then I did this....they ran like hell to get away, they had heard rumour of my deadly kick." continued Whenten.

"Something must be done....HEY DOWN THERE, WHAT IS GOING ON?" shouted Head.

The ladies all looked up to see who was shouting.

Holly went up to the top shelf to explain to Head who had arrived and what all the noise was about.

She had an enraptured audience as she spoke to the occupants of the upper shelf.

Silence descended when they heard the front door slamming shut, revoL had arrived!

Whenten crouched down into her protective position while the others called him over to explain.

The occupants of the upper shelf had relented under the pleas of Holly and yabbered on at revoL to allow Whenten to stay for a while.

All the ladies, except for Consuela who was a princess, got down on their knees and begged revoL.

"Don't worry, I'll be going back into the Amazonian rain forest in a couple of months." explained Whenten.

revoL granted her a short term stay, as long as she didn't cause mayhem in The Manor.

"YAY" cried all four ladies simultaneously and Bobo went wild up above.

The party went on well into the night until they all fell asleep exhausted. Who knows what antics they'll get up to in the next couple of months with a wildcat like Whenten around? Consuela shuddered to think as she drifted off to sleep.
