Out and about in Jersey.

Daryl and Deborah-Anne went for another stroll taking advantage of the gorgeous weather here in Jersey.

Their first stop was the slipway behind the white horse pub at havre des pas.

Then we went to look at the boats and yachts at the marina in st.helier.

All in all a lovely day out.

Reg,s garden/Regstock

Daryl, Leona and Debora-anne accompanied me to Reg,s garden here in Jersey yesterday.Reg hosts "Regstock" a mini-festival in his gorgeous, labirinthine gardens which highlights local musicians of all ages and all proceeds go to amnesty international.
 In a little greenhouse was a collection of 160+ barbie dolls.

Daryl was the first on the scene,of course.

Girls,come and look at all this lot!

 "WOW!",exclaimed Debora-anne, "There's hundreds!"

Leona was less impressed."It looks like a slave-market!",she grumbled,but,later,when i spoke to Reg, he explained that they were to be donated to a charity.

 There were two performance areas a purpose-built ampitheatre 

 

and a more intimate little nook.

We visited both areas but spent most of our day in the little glade. 

We all had a fantastic time.

The girls really enjoyed themselves.

But Daryl has a short attention span so she wandered off...

"Girls,girls,come quick! Come and check this out"

"What a perfect place for Phil and Pris to have their pictures taken at their wedding!"

And I wholeheartedly agreed, spoke to Reg and he said no problem!

 But that's another story for another place (*) and another day.

Welcome Back, Miss Chipsy!

Miss Chipsy Hicks has just returned to Blighty with her holiday snaps.

So. How was the weather out there?

"Mmm... lovely...."

The lazy bugger didn't even go down to the beach, just stayed up in the cosy cottage, enjoying the sun and chilling out for a couple of weeks.

Ah well, who can blame her!

"Hmmm... time for a nice tofu and sprouting bean salad, I think!"

A few days later, after finally finishing the washing up, it was time to chill on the verandah.

"Bah! Too hot to be sunning myself today. Plus, I have to think of my complexion!"

Cooling down in the evening...

"Yeah, but this flagstone is still nice and warm!"

And in the afternoons, at least the trees provided a bit of shade...

"Ahh, a welcome respite..."

"Yep. This is better."

But all good things must eventually come to an end...

"Awww... do we have to go home?"

Yes, I'm afraid we do. A short trip to the cosy cottage in the woods, but a sweet one!
