Daryl, Leona and Debora-anne accompanied me to Reg,s garden here in Jersey yesterday.Reg hosts "Regstock" a mini-festival in his gorgeous, labirinthine gardens which highlights local musicians of all ages and all proceeds go to amnesty international.
In a little greenhouse was a collection of 160+ barbie dolls.
Daryl was the first on the scene,of course.
Girls, come and look at all this lot!
"WOW!",exclaimed Debora-anne, "There's hundreds!"
Leona was less impressed."It looks like a slave-market!",she grumbled, but, later, when i spoke to Reg, he explained that they were to be donated to a charity.
There were two performance areas a purpose-built ampitheatre
and a more intimate little nook.
We visited both areas but spent most of our day in the little glade.
We all had a fantastic time.
The girls really enjoyed themselves.
But Daryl has a short attention span so she wandered off...
"Girls, girls, come quick! Come and check this out"
"What a perfect place for Phil and Pris to have their pictures taken at their wedding!"
And I wholeheartedly agreed, spoke to Reg and he said no problem!
But that's another story for another place (*) and another day.
